Accor hotel welcomed in Albury

Murray RiverThe Murray Regional Tourism Board supports the recent announcement of a $20 million, 120 room Accor-managed hotel in Albury – the first new hotel for Albury City since the 1970s.

The proposed development will see a four-star Accor branded hotel, including a restaurant, bar and state of the art conferencing facilities.
MRTB CEO Mark Francis is delighted that the development will create between 30 and 50 full time and casual jobs as well as boost tourism to the region. "To secure a development of this size is not only fantastic for Albury, it also adds to the quality and diversity of accommodation offerings found in the Murray Region.
"This is a great example of the positive impacts new infrastructure can have on a local community and further evidence of the exciting period of growth currently taking place right along the Murray River. The MTRB aims to continue generating investment in tourism product and infrastructure.
"Over the next 5 years, the MRTB will lead the way to ensure the growth and development of the tourism industry in the Murray Region," Mr Francis said.
